Miami’s Condo Circus of Outrageous Amenities

How do you sell condos to multi-millionaires? These clients expect the best, so they’re not going to settle for run-of-the-mill amenities. This has become particularly true of Miami’s condominium buyers. In recent years, developers have learned to dazzle clients with creative displays of unapologetic opulence.

    Over the Top

Condo buyers are used to world-class spas and multiple pools. To really wow them, developers need to think bigger. This means coming up with amenities even the ultra-rich haven’t experienced before. Miami buildings now offer everything from exclusive art demonstrations to ice skating rinks and residents-only restaurants.

Amenities also have to be useful on a regular basis, so they’re worth the hefty fees. SLS Hotel & Residences Brickell and SLS LUX provide their communities with hotel accommodations.

Buyers can request meals served by professional chefs and waiters. In Palazza Del Sol on Fisher Island, there’s a theater and fur storage for vacationers arriving from a cold climate.

One Thousand Museum has its own helipad along with custom scents in common areas. Residents of The Ritz-Carlton can schedule a day on a private yacht or dock their own boat.

    Everyday Luxuries

going along with the Porsche theme, buyers enjoy a virtual race simulator (it actually moves the seat during play). If golf’s your game, there’s a simulator with 1,800 pre-programmed courses. Wine enthusiasts can even reserve their own locker in the restaurant.

For a condominium that embraces outdoor activity, look no further than Paramount Miami Worldcenter. The rooftop features a full-scale soccer field, though it’s been pointed out that wayward soccer balls could become a problem.

Buyers also gain access to a dog park, jogging path, tennis courts, and summer kitchens.

Those searching for inner peace may retreat to the Tai Chi Deck or Yoga Studio. Inside, there are two play rooms and a recording studio for aspiring musicians. If residents want to hit the stores, a private elevator takes them directly to the shopping center below.

It would seem that Miami condo developers have thought of everything. But, don’t worry. They’ll come up with the next level of outrageous amenities soon enough.
